Getting started is easy. When you sign up, we’ll ask for some basic information – domain name (if you have one), preferred method of payment, shipping info, what email addresses you’d like, etc. You pick your site design from one of our free templates and decide if you’d prefer to pay monthly or annually (there’s no commitment involved).
We set up your shop for you – install the software, templates, set up the secure payment gateway, etc, and send you a custom quick-start guide that has everything you need to add items to your store. We do this all on a “hidden” site if you’d like, so that you can add your items before the shop is live for the world to see. You add your items and configure your basic pages (about, policies, etc.).
The process of adding items is super-easy. It’s built on a modified version of popular blogging software, so if you’ve ever blogged or used word processing software, everything should look pretty familiar. Once your items are up, your customers can shop away!
With most payment methods, inventory management is automatic – if a customer buys one widget, the in-stock total is automatically decreased by one after the checkout process is completed. If there was only one in stock, “add to cart” will automatically be replaced by an “out of stock” notice.
You can have an unlimited amount of pages and an unlimited amount of items in your store. You can also have a gallery of items if you’d like (things that aren’t for sale, but you like to show off anyway).
